Tabletop Porter · Rescue Porter

Your stalled BGA project, finished.

Add us as a developer on your unfinished or abandoned Board Game Arena project, and we'll get it finished: we check what's there against your rulebook, then salvage it or rebuild it, your choice.

Priced like a new build, from $450Your existing work is copied and kept before we change anything

For games that got stuck

A developer started your game on Board Game Arena Studio and stopped: they ran out of time, moved on, or can't be reached. Or you started it yourself and hit a wall. Add us as a developer on the project, and we take it from wherever it is to private alpha and beyond.

How it works

  1. Order with your rulebook and print files (the same files a new build needs), the project's name on Studio, and whether you'd rather salvage what's there or start again.
  2. Add our developer account to the project. We confirm who owns it and its license status, check your files, and count the components. Then you see the exact price and pay.
  3. We copy the project exactly as it is and keep that copy, so your work can always be restored.
  4. We check it against your rulebook and BGA's standards and send you an assessment: what works, what's wrong or missing, and whether we recommend salvaging it or rebuilding. You choose.
  5. We fix and finish the game, test it over thousands of simulated games, and put it back on your Studio project. From there it's the same as a new build: the rules questions, a video of a game in progress, your changes, then BGA's alpha.

What we check

  • The rules. Every place the code doesn't match your rulebook, and every rule it doesn't enforce yet.
  • What's missing. Unfinished phases, cards, end-of-game scoring, statistics, and the pieces BGA requires before alpha.
  • BGA's standards. The framework, undo, turn-based play, phones, colorblind support, and the table layout BGA's reviewers look for.
  • Stability. Whether tests exist and pass, and what a change would mean for games already in progress.

Price

The same as a new Board Game Arena build of the same size, paid in the same milestones, whichever way you choose to go. That covers the worst case: a project so far off that we rebuild it from scratch.

Who can order

You need to be an admin on the Studio project, or have the original developer's agreement to hand it over. If they can't be reached, BGA can transfer the project to you; we'll help you ask.
