Catch print-file problems before your manufacturer does.
Check your print files against your manufacturer's file rules before you upload them: sizes, bleed, safe zones, resolution, fonts, and color, with a count of every component, in a workbook and a contact sheet.
Which manufacturers
Choose The Game Crafter, Launch Tabletop, or Panda Game Manufacturing. Each one is checked against its own published file rules, and the workbook lists every rule it checked with a link to the manufacturer's page for it.
- The Game Crafter: each image's exact pixel size for the product you choose (over 200 products, from TGC's own catalog), the cut and safe lines, including shaped items like tuck boxes, chits, and dials, and template lines left visible in the export.
- Launch Tabletop: 3 mm bleed and margins, with standard card sizes and Launch Lab's own PDFs recognized automatically, 270 dpi minimum, text under 5 pt, lines under 0.25 pt, and, for your own PDF, the Cutline or Dieline spot color.
- Panda: CMYK color, rich black text, 3 mm bleed and margins (18 mm on boxes and boards), the card back on the last page, and rulebook pages in multiples of 4.
What it checks
- Size and bleed: the right finished size, bleed on every edge, and no blank bleed band where the art inside the cut isn't blank.
- Safe zone: text and sharp detail that sit in the margin and could be trimmed.
- Resolution of every placed image at its printed size, and fonts that aren't embedded.
- Counts: how many fronts, backs, and pages we found for each component, and how many are different, for you to check against your own list. We also flag backs that don't match their fronts, and exact copies (checked once, counted every time).
What you get
An Excel workbook with every finding grouped across faces ("54 faces: ..."), each with its severity (error, warning, or check by eye), the file and page, what's wrong, and how to fix it. A contact sheet PDF shows every face with the cut and safe lines drawn on, so you can see each problem in place.
How it works
- Choose your manufacturer, list your components (name, how many, and which files are fronts and backs), and upload the files you're about to send to the manufacturer. Most standard card sizes are recognized from the files. For boxes, boards, screens, and custom shapes, add the manufacturer's template; for a custom-size card, mat, or sheet, the finished size is enough.
- Pay $9.00 for the whole order, or use a coupon.
- The checks run on our own server; most orders take a few minutes. While the service is new, we look over each report before it goes out, so allow up to one business day.
- You get an email with a link to download the workbook and the contact sheet.
No AI, and your files stay with us
The preflight is ordinary code that measures your files against each manufacturer's rules. Your files aren't sent to Anthropic or any other AI service, and we delete them 30 days after delivery. See the privacy policy.
What it doesn't do
It checks your files against the manufacturer's published rules; it can't promise the manufacturer will accept them, and it doesn't judge your art or proofread your text. For the rules themselves, order a rulebook review.
