Can every player read your game?
Find the colors color-blind players can't tell apart, text too small to read at the table, and text that's hard to read against its background, in your cards, boards, and rulebook. Free.
What it checks
- Colors that look alike: about 1 man in 12 sees colors differently. We pool the colors across all your cards and boards and list every pair that's clearly different to most players but looks the same, or nearly, with red-green or blue-yellow color blindness.
- Text size: every word in your PDFs measured at print size, with text under 6 pt flagged and text under 7 pt listed to check on a proof.
- Text contrast: how well each piece of text stands out from what's behind it, measured on the rendered page, also as color-blind players see it. Red text on dark backgrounds is the usual problem.
What you get
An Excel workbook with a summary, the color pairs (with swatches and how many faces use each), the small text, and the low-contrast text, each with the file and page. A contact sheet PDF shows each color pair as printed and as seen, then every different card and page five ways: as printed, with each of the three kinds of color blindness, and in grayscale, so you can judge it yourself.
How it works
- Upload your card, board, and rulebook files: PDFs, PNG or JPG images, or a zip of them. Up to 20 files and 300 MB in all.
- The checks run on our own server, usually in a few minutes.
- You get an email with a link to download the workbook and the contact sheet.
No AI, and your files stay with us
The check is ordinary code that measures your files. Your files aren't sent to Anthropic or any other AI service, and we delete them as soon as the check has run. See the privacy policy.
What it doesn't do
Whether two colors matter is your call: it can't tell a suit color from decoration. It doesn't read text that's been outlined or flattened into an image, and it can't show how your colors will print. For print-ready files, order a print-file preflight.
