Rulebook review
A rules-clarity review of your rulebook: every place players are likely to argue, misplay or get stuck, in a workbook you can score and act on.
What you get
An Excel workbook listing every rules problem the review found, each with:
- the exact rulebook text it's about, quoted and page-referenced;
- what's unclear or contradictory, and a concrete scenario where players would disagree;
- the competing readings, a suggested fix, and a severity from Blocker to Polish;
- how often it's likely to come up and how likely players are to misread it.
It also checks component counts against every number in the rules, lists terms that are used but never defined, and records the items it decided not to report (things your audience would assume anyway, and rare cases where every reading gives the same result) so you can see its reasoning.
How it works
- Upload your rulebook PDF, plus any FAQ, player aid, solo rules or card files, and choose your audience (hobbyist, family or mass market).
- See your price, apply a coupon if you have one, and pay.
- The review runs, and a person checks it before it's sent to you. Most reviews are delivered within one business day.
- You get an email with a link to download your workbook.
How the review is done
Reviews are produced by an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic) following a detailed review method, and then checked by a person before delivery. Your files are sent to Anthropic only to run your review, and Anthropic doesn't use them to train its models. We delete them from Anthropic's systems as soon as the review finishes (Anthropic may keep limited records for a short time under its own retention policy), and we delete our copies 30 days after delivery. See the privacy policy.
The review looks at clarity and consistency: whether players will understand and agree on your rules. It doesn't judge whether your game is fun or balanced, and it isn't a copy edit.
Re-reviews
Revised your rulebook? A re-review of the same game within 12 months is 50% off. Send back the earlier workbook with its Score column filled in and it's 65% off, and the review uses your scores to skip findings you've already dismissed.
